Jim Tsugowa, a lifetime resident of Beaverton Oregonian, visited the third graders to share about his experience living in a Japanese Internment Camp during WW2. As a part of their Sharing the Planet unit, the third graders researched time periods in history where there was Peace and Conflict. Jim gave a wonderful presentation about his childhood perspective of wartime conflict. We learned, once again, about the power of a positive spirit!
